Dry herb units heat plant material in an oven. Concentrate devices use a coil or ceramic dish and run much hotter. Some — the Focus V CARTA line, the Yocan Orbit — do both, but a device built for one rarely does the other well. Buy for what you actually use most.
510 batteries
A 510-thread battery is the simplest thing here: a cartridge screws straight onto it. They differ mainly in capacity, whether the voltage is adjustable, and how they charge.
